Our first stop on this tour is Stirling Castle. This significant stronghold held the key to access all areas to the North of Scotland and it’s perfect location made it a very strategic castle to control. Not surprisingly it changed hands 8 times between the Scots and English during the battles for Scottish independence featuring the famous historic characters of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. After a brief orientation within the castle you will have the chance to go and discover it’s own secrets and stories that created such an integral part of Scotland’s history.

From the often treacherous and bloody dealings at the castle we will drive out to rural Stirlingshire to visit 3 of Scotland’s most famous highland cattle and then head on a tranquil journey through the Trossachs and the surrounding area to visit Aberfoyle.

From Aberfoyle we will continue on our scenic journey to Luss on the “Bonnie Banks” of Loch Lomond. Here you will have the chance to visit the old church and stunning village before walking down to the pier to get fantastic views of both the loch and Ben Lomond. this will be our last stop before heading homeward.
